Happy New Year: National Year of Stacking Coins

Image
Welcome to 2026. Let's get straight to business, set out your goals, and begin to pursue them from January one, today. Don't sleep on the burgeoning opportunities, no room to dip. We keep building and garnering momentum until our dying day.  National year of stacking coins It's a new year, a new day, a new moment, and a brand new year to pursue every opportunity that we seemed to have lost a year ago. This is a new year, the goal remains the same: have a target (aim and object), focus on the relationship with God, and build your skillset to gather funds and establish value. The value remains the same, accept, adjust, and advance. Accept that yesterday (the events of last year) is gone and never coming back. Adjust to the new moment and phase that you are currently in, then advance from wherever you are. The objective is to upskill and make some money; don't complicate your responsibilities for the year. Keep it simple and go with the flow.  Mark 11:22 This year promise...

2025: The Story So Far...

Image
2025 has been a polarizing year thus far. It has been both interesting and heart-warming, yet equally heart-wrenching. Above all, there has been so much to live for; life hasn't been perfect, albeit each moment in 2025 tells its own story. There is still so much to learn, and that is what I hope I am able to do from now onwards as the new year gradually unravels.  What Really Happened in 2025? On the train to Helsinki In March 2025, I started my own media page, called the Uprising platform (Uprisingplatform.blogspot.com). I am glad to mention that this is a major achievement for me, Adekunle Sunday-Fajana . This platform has provided me with the opportunity to express my ideologies, share my stories, and articulate the biases that align with my narratives.  In the last couple of months, Uprising Platform has allowed me to connect with different people from various spheres of life- individuals from different creeds, races, and religions.  I genuinely do not take this for...

To All My Dawgs...

Image
A recent conversation specifically inspired this article. I discussed with my friend and brother, Ebenezer Nwafor , a leading podcast personality and textile designer who is going to take over the world of fashion, entertainment, and cultural values in the near future. Watch out for him, he will soon be the name on everyone's lips. During our conversation on the social media platform, WhatsApp , he said some words to me that made me realize I've been dealing with wholesome and awesome people, and it's only ideal that I applaud each and every person for their respective contributions and investments in my life.  To All My Dawgs... In the meantime, this article is dedicated to all my dawgs. Those who have the desire to conquer the world and establish their own empire; the world belongs to the dream chasers, those who don't sleep at night. In the words of the great man, Mr Vincent Omoregha , he said, " Your life is your number one business ." Those words have r...

Visit to Tapiola Art Gallery: The Espoo Museum of Art

To predict the progression of a nation, you first need to examine how it acknowledges the concepts of art, culture, design, and the elements of Architecture, painting, and other forms of creativity. The world only progresses through the expression of the ideas entwined in the beautiful minds of artists, creatives, sculptors, designers, and visionaries. An artist who engages the concept holds the future of a nation in his hands, should he choose to explore and share his knowledge. In any nation, country, or society, it is pivotal never to undermine the role of the artists and art, the creative who is actively involved in broadening their knowledge of architecture, intentional investments in these roles would certainly help development and growth. Reading Sleeping Moss Girl (Kim Simonsson, 2022) More details about the above sculpture Therefore, the creation and intentional indulgence of art promise rapid growth, and its collaboration with Science and Technology would propel immediate tr...

Mohamed Bourouissa: The Genealogy of Violence (Short Film Review)

Image
This is a review of Mohamed Bourouissa's short film , The Genealogy of Violence . On Friday, December 26, during my time at the Espoo Museum of Modern Art (EMMA), I saw the short film, The Genealogy of Violence, and it was absolutely relatable as it discussed the theme of police brutality , extrajudicial killing , and violation of fundamental human rights . Bourouissa's short film was aimed at raising awareness about how police extort youths and also dehumanize them, due to the possession of power. The Genealogy of Violence In the short film, a young French couple whose conversation about their future is abruptly cut off by a police raid. During a routine identity check, one of the protagonists is arrested. As the conundrum unravels, the male protagonist is undergoing a barrage of conflicting emotions as the two police officers inspect his body; he suffers inner turmoil that is conveyed through a nuanced array of special effects. Meanwhile, his partner stares in disarray as he...

Akwa-Cross: Celebrating Cultural Values, Food Fair, and Art Exhibition (PHOTOS)

Image
The Akwa-Cross food festival and gala night took place at Tolarantie , Helsinki , on Saturday, December 13. The gala event was established to celebrate the culture and tradition of Akwa Ibom and Cross River indigenes in Finland . Although the event was equally attended by personalities from other parts of Nigeria , the event was simply an appreciation of cultural values and an expression of the elements that make these cordial natives unique in their respective approaches to life. The Akwa-Cross program was attended by various dignitaries from the Nigerian community, such as Dr  Kingsley Jideofor Abisi , president of the Association of Nigerians in Finland , Divine Calling , who is also known as Mr Kenny, and he is the Public Relations officer (PRO) of the body. Also, the matriarch of the Nigerian community, Mama Africa , was present at the event. The Spirit Called Christmas

Image
Christmas is only a few days away, and we are in the season of celebration and Thanksgiving. The spirit of Christmas is hovering, going around to share friendship with the lonely and happiness with the disheartened. Christmas is almost here; it’s in the air, can you perceive it? Let the scent in, embrace it, and enjoy what the moment has to offer. Christmas time is the most beautiful period of the year, a time to give and possibly receive love from friends and family; a time to gradually shed the weight you’ve embodied for major parts of the year. A time to believe again and trust that the new year has so much to offer. The Spirit Called Christmas This is Christmas, a season of reflection, laughter, and fun. Do well to enjoy this timeframe, it’s just once a year. Spend time with friends and family, eat barbecue , chicken , and chips . Buy a gift for your loved ones, break the bank, and remind them why they are so special to you. Enjoy what this season has to offer. Merry Christ...
