The Detty December season has concluded, days after planning, strategizing, and the announcement of the biggest season in Lagos and across other parts of Nigeria has been put on a shelf. Everyone has resumed their respective duties, and the I Just Got Back (IJGB) merchants have returned to the various countries from which they came. They've attended concerts organized by some of Nigeria's major entertainers, gone to the beach in Lagos State, and have been able to reconnect with long-lost friends and family members. Since the turn of the 2020s, the Detty December celebration officially gained prominence, becoming one of the most voraciously anticipated periods of the year. One of the happiest moments of my life is watching a lady receive the treatment she deserves. Meeting with a man who would give her everything that she has always desired and admired, this is to Adeni Brown- the lady with the brown colored pristine eyes, if beauty were a person, she embodied it.   I grew up in church and attended a Christian private institution, albeit the sins of this world outweigh the sanctimoniousness that the ideology of the religion confines us to be. Religion is quintessential in upbringing- indeed, there is a God in heaven, however, there are voluptuous women on earth and marijuana that wants to take you out of the shackles of your spirit, soul, and body. There’s a thin line between sin and happiness.
