Once Upon A Time In London: The Visit to United Kingdom (PHOTO STORY)
When I was much younger, my brother, Ahmed Olukotun , and I would look up at the sky from our compound in Mushin and wave at those who were thousands of miles away, drifting into the firmament in an airplane. We didn’t know if they heard us, and we have no idea if they bothered to wave back at us. We were simply kids who wondered what really went on on the other side of the earth, outside of Nigeria and Africa. Unaware photo taken at the airport I’ve always aspired to travel to London , Germany , and probably Bakersfield , in the United States of America. I want to pluck the cloud, scoop the snow, and play on the London Bridge . There was something about the outside that was exciting and worth figuring out; these things I urge as I toss and turn in my sleep as a child. I was a child, my heart was innocent, albeit it is wanted what it wanted, and as destiny would have it, I was at Birmingham (BMX) airport for Christmas in 2024 .
