  At the recent Mental Health program organized by the African and African-Europeans Association (AFAES) on Friday, November 28, we discussed various topics such as the mental well-being of an immigrant , good parenting, and we ate a healthy meal.   Mental health is one of the most pivotal discussions in the modern world, and AFAES has been devising various methodologies on how Nigerians , Africans, and other immigrants can approach this topic with utmost understanding. AFAES is strategically building a community that would help immigrants to understand that they are not alone in raising their kids in a society such as Finland . You are a gift to humanity; therefore, you should understand that things are going to attain their essence in due season. Ice, Ice Baby…

  I woke up this morning and looked outside my window. I saw snow. It’s safe for me to inform you that, if you’re reading this, it's likely cold outside. This is the ice season , snow powder , and the emerging season of Christmas. The streets of  the neighborhood are littered with snow, and the atmosphere is chilly; it's ice, ice baby. It's snowing outside Wear your thick gloves, zip up your winter jacket, and cover your neck with a muffler. Hey, also, try to stay away from ice cream. Drink a cup of coffee and keep your spirit, soul, and body warm. Outside of Helsinki It’s dark, it’s depressing, but it’s still the ice, ice season, baby. Stockholm is a densely populated city in Sweden, and the time I spent there was eventful. There were quite a of fascinating places that I visited during my time there, and I also enjoyed the vicinity and environs. Souvenir from Stockholm Unlike Helsinki , Stockholm is more fast-paced. The trains are usually populated with predominantly working-class people and young people who are trying to figure out their way around life. Nothing is straightforward in Stockholm, due to the complexities of the city- people walking to catch appointments, multilayered underground trains, and language barriers, you have to open your eyes and listen twice as much as you can.
