Pursuit of Happyness: The Golden Calf
Happiness is not free, and there is a price to pay to experience a certain level of epicureanism in this game, defined as life. We live and learn, we hurt and make necessary adjustments to the thoughts that ache deep in our hearts as we lie awake at night.
Praying to God, for the sake of fate, we desire to keep our faith alive and
look up to the skies as we desire a better tomorrow.

| The Golden Calf |
From the day of our birth until our dying day, we talk to God and admonish him
to ease our suffering and lighten our burden in this ever-evolving world in which
we find ourselves. You look outside your window, and everyone is in pursuit of some
type of manmade ideologies. The pursuit of self, the incessant demand of a life
that’s worthwhile and meaningful.
We require money, pursuing fleeting moments and ephemeral moods. You
stare at people as they crack asinine jokes; it makes no sense, but you have
to laugh with the wind as it bellows. If jokes are a form of coping for them,
then let the happy people have it.

Everyone needs a coping mechanism, and to some, that minute glimpse of
happiness is all that they have. I hope they find it, perhaps through money,
hedonism, or any form of religion.
