To All My Dawgs...

 A recent conversation specifically inspired this article. I discussed with my friend and brother, Ebenezer Nwafor, a leading podcast personality and textile designer who is going to take over the world of fashion, entertainment, and cultural values in the near future. Watch out for him, he will soon be the name on everyone's lips.

During our conversation on the social media platform, WhatsApp, he said some words to me that made me realize I've been dealing with wholesome and awesome people, and it's only ideal that I applaud each and every person for their respective contributions and investments in my life. 

To All My Dawgs...

In the meantime, this article is dedicated to all my dawgs. Those who have the desire to conquer the world and establish their own empire; the world belongs to the dream chasers, those who don't sleep at night.

In the words of the great man, Mr Vincent Omoregha, he said, "Your life is your number one business." Those words have remained at the back of my mind for over a decade, since our sophomore year at Caleb University. Until my dying day, the words speak to me thoroughly through my actions and inactions.

Glad I could serve as Vincent's best man at his wedding ceremony; it's a great privilege for me to stand behind one of the most influential persons in the modern world. I take these things not for granted.

People genuinely don't know how they make you feel several days after having a conversation with them. Heck, weeks and months after initial conversations, those statements replay at the back of my mind, and I do genuinely appreciate sincere discussions. 

Some people come into your life to simply sow inspirational words in your heart that would propel you to chase that cat (as a dawg) and become the best or better version of yourself. In my lifetime, I have met with several people, and to be honest, I'll still meet more. I have met people who believe so much in me, my dreams (even though I have no idea what that is), and those who have given me more than I can ever request or desire. Names that I might be unable to mention due to personal reasons. 

Further, I have also met those who want to touch the sky with me and, of course, the naysayers. Pay no mind to those who can't afford your attention; focus on those who are fascinated with your presence in their life and are respectful enough to keep composing worthwhile memories together.

I can't explain it, but I'm thankful for everyone I've met in my lifetime. Those who are still here and those who have unavoidably departed as the wind billows. These little moments mean so much to me, and I don't take anything for granted- I enjoy spending quality time with erudite people who care, enlighten, and broaden my knowledge about life, from the aforementioned Eben to Mr Vinny, the Great Joseph Jacob, Fiyin Audu, who I call Skilashi, or Mr Perspective, Tims, Lebs, Papi Jay, the impeccable architect Joey, the movie directors Evah Jerry and TJ, the list goes on.

OGs such as GB, Unkle Khenie, Ovie, Tush, Jzty, Sodex Gardens, Scarpe, the maverick Rhymeshizzle, Caleb, and my spiritualist Mr Demmy, and the real chick magnet David Dickson (Mr Fyler). To my younger dawgs, Izzy and Fisayo, greater heights are guaranteed. Trust in God as you gradually garner momentum. The list for all the top dawgs is inexhaustible. This is to all my dawgs from trenches through to the hills, on God, we are going to make it. 

To all my dawgs, I hope you find genuine happiness, love, and joy as the days unravel. I pray to God who created the firmaments and the birds that you achieve your heart's desires and become the person that God has created you to be. May your days not be squandered on toxicity, anxiety, the pursuit of vanity, and the fear of the unknown. 

Let's gather together and eat shawarma, my dawgs.
