African Week 2026: Complete Program Schedule

 The 2026 African Week event kicked off on Monday, May 18. The annual program has been designed to enlighten and educate Africans and other immigrants about how they can integrate into Finnish society and learn various methodologies on how they can navigate their way within the environment.


The 2026 African Week program started on Monday afternoon, May 18, and would come to a conclusion on Monday, May 25. The event promises to inspire hope and propel Africans to achieve their objective(s) with ease, and also take adequate steps within the timeframe of their arrival, and help them find comfort without hassle.

African Week 2026: Complete Program Schedule


In this article, we will be looking at the schedule for the 2026 African Week program. 


Day One: African Voices (Monday, May 18)


This took place on Monday, May 18, at Think Company Viikki, Latokartanonkaari 3, Helsinki. 

 

Day Two: African Cooking Workshop for Youth (Tuesday, May 19)


This is taking place at Saladmaster Finland, Retkeilinjankatu 7B 1, Helsinki. The program is scheduled to take place from 4 pm to 7 pm (16.00-19.00 pm)


Day Three: Racism, Exclusion & AI in Social Work: Training for Social Workers and NGO Professionals (Thursday, May 21)


This is a pivotal program for every immigrant. It would take place at AFAES Office, Pulttitie 16A 32, 00880 Helsinki.


The program kicks off around 11.00 am-2.00 pm


Day Three (Second Session): Integration and Multiculturalism: The Moroccan Experience in Finland (Thursday, May 21)


This will take place at International School of Vantaa, Hagelstamintie 1, Vantaa (5 pm- 7 pm)


It is important to note that this is the second program of the day.


Day Four: Networking & Collaboration Workshop for African Women (Friday, May 22)


This is for every African woman.


The program will kick off around 5 pm at the AFAES Office, Pulttitie 16A 32, Helsinki.



Day Five: Youth & Parent Engagement Day: Community Dialogue on Young People's Future (Saturday, May 23)


This will take place at Ruoholahti Youth House, Messitytonkatu 4, Helsinki, from 3 pm to 6 pm. 


Day Five (Second Session): Tastes that Unite: African and Finnish-Swedish Cooking Workshop (Saturday, May 23)


This would take place at Iso Roobertinkatu 23, Helsinki, from 11 am, 2 pm, and 6 pm.


Day Six: African Day Celebration (Monday, May 25)


This will take place at the Museum of Technology, Energy Hall, Viikintie 1B, Helsinki. It kicks off 5pm.
