A Day in Stockholm: If You Grew Up in Lagos, Visit this beautiful place in Sweden
In this article, we’ll simply be discussing where a Nigerian should lodge if they decide to visit Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden.
Stockholm is a densely populated city in Sweden, and the time I spent there was eventful. There were quite a of fascinating places that I visited during my time there, and I also enjoyed the vicinity and environs.

| Souvenir from Stockholm |
Unlike Helsinki, Stockholm is more fast-paced. The trains are usually populated with predominantly working-class people and young people who are trying to figure out their way around life. Nothing is straightforward in Stockholm, due to the complexities of the city- people walking to catch appointments, multilayered underground trains, and language barriers, you have to open your eyes and listen twice as much as you can.
If you grew up in Lagos, you’ll love Stockholm. It’s rugged, tough, and fast-paced. It’s the city for those who find happiness in pursuit; pursuit of money, happiness, jobs (or jabs), a sense of belonging.
Spent a day in Stockholm, although I had a great time. Reminds me of the city where I’m from, just that, I saw more white faces than the usual dark-complexioned brethren who look just like me.

| Best Western Hotel reception |
I lodged in Best Western Hotel at 108, a 3-star hotel in Sveavägen 108, 113 50 Stockholm. For a start, the hotel was only 13 minutes away from the Nigerian embassy, also one stop from the city center.
In the hotel, you are served breakfast. At a buffet, you are to choose whatever you want and eat as much as your belly can comprehend. Breakfast ends around 10-11am, so go there early and enjoy yourself.
The hotel room has a television and other basic requirements. There is also a restaurant/bar at the reception, where you can buy chicken and chips, burgers, browse the internet (with your laptop), sip wine and cocktails, etc. The atmosphere is relaxing and I hugely recommend it for everyone who wants to visit Stockholm in the near future.

This is so interesting. Want to make me visit Sweden for a vacay. I love that analogy of the Lagos part.
ReplyDeleteObviously any Lagosian would not find it difficult to adapt to a city like Stockholm.
