Uprising Interview: From Filmmaking To Politics, Here Is The Future of Nigerian Politics (Conversation With Oluwaseun Adeleke)

In this interview session with burgeoning Nigerian politician, Oluwaseun Adeleke, who is otherwise known as Tizzle, he spoke about the opportunities that are available in the Nigerian political hemisphere for young individuals who are looking to serve, share their vision, and potentially lead the most populous black nation soon.

Further, the promising politician explained to the Uprising Platform the methodologies that the Nigerian system is envisioning for the common people of Nigeria.

From Filmmaking To Politics, Here Is The Future of Nigerian Politics

Further, we would talk about the political ambition and vision of Adeleke. He is looking to become the councillor for Ward E1 Akinhanmi/Cole in Surulere, Lagos state. Walk with the Uprising Platform as we dissect this session together:

Introduction. Let us meet you.

Vote Tizzle 2025

I am Oluwaseun Samuel Adeleke. A passionate filmmaker, dedicated talent scout, committed

farmer, and a proud family- and business-oriented individual. I am currently transitioning

from who I was to who I have always aspired to become — a leader driven by purpose and

vision.

Background

Tizzle started as a moviemaker

I am from Kogi State, Nigeria, born in Kwara State, and moved to Lagos at the age of nine. I

come from a close-knit family of seven, with four brothers and one sister. My parents are

dedicated traders and devout Christians.

I completed my secondary education at Eko Boys High School and pursued Civil Engineering at

Yaba College of Technology. Currently, I’m expanding my academic portfolio with a degree in

Business Administration at the University of the People, USA.

Tell Us About Your Political Ambitions.

Tizzle, the future of Nigeria's politics

My political ambition took active form in 2022 when I recognised a consistent pattern of

underwhelming leadership within the Nigerian political space. Driven by a passion to promote

quality leadership that truly serves the people, I became an active member of the Labour Party.

Before this, I had consistently fulfilled my civic responsibility as a voter since 2011 at my ward

and actively participated in protests and community mobilisation efforts advocating for

positive change.

How Long Have You Been Into Politics?

Tizzle on a production set

I have been in the political space for about three years now as an active member.

How has it been thus far?

The journey so far has been nothing short of incredible. It’s an experience I once doubted I

could embark on, but every step has opened my eyes to the true meaning and possibility of

Serving with dignity and purpose.

The pressure, the intimidation, the unspoken expectations — they can, at times, feel

overwhelming. This path is certainly not for the faint-hearted. Yet, despite the challenges, I

have remained committed, working steadily on the ground where it matters most.

From meeting with respected elders, CDA chairmen, and Egbon Adugbos, to engaging with

market women, street vendors, and everyday residents, I have been deeply immersed in the

community. We are running a true door-to-door campaign — house by house, street by street

— building trust, sharing our vision, and inspiring hope for a better future together.

What Are Your Goals and Objectives?

Tizzle 2025

My goal is simple:

To champion inclusive governance, a system that genuinely reflects the needs and aspirations

of the average citizen, not just a privileged few.

My objectives are clear, focused, and actionable:

● Promote Transparent Leadership:

Advocate for greater transparency and accountability in local governance, ensuring that

Leadership decisions are open and in the best interest of the people.

● Empower the Community:

Drive citizen engagement through initiatives such as vocational training programmes,

girl-child empowerment projects, agro-farming initiatives, and educational support for

the less privileged.

● Foster People-Centred Leadership:

Establish consistent community dialogue through town halls and social engagement

platforms, blending governance with accessible and relatable forms of entertainment to

Bring leadership closer to the people.

Conclusion

My team and I believe in real empowerment! Our mission goes beyond politics. It's about

impact.

That’s why, before the election, we are rolling out five powerful programmes to uplift and equip

our people, not just with promises, but with skills:

1. Basic knowledge in filmmaking — so our youth can begin telling their own stories and

explore opportunities in the creative industry.

2. Introduction to forex trading — a practical pathway to understanding modern finance

and digital assets.

3. Yoga and Pilates sessions — to promote mental clarity, both for young and old in the

community. Build physical strength and overall well-being.

4. Training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) — because every community needs

life-savers, and every second counts. We want to use this as an opportunity to teach and

educate our locals on the importance of CPR.

5. Medical Outreach - Conducting free vital signs checks for community members to

ensure they are healthy and not experiencing stress-related health challenges.

This is our little way of showing what’s possible when leaders choose people over politics.

We’re not just asking for votes. We are offering vision, value, and a new direction.
