Heureka: A Day At The Science Museum (PHOTO STORY)

In case you missed the earlier article about the recently ‘de-extincted’ breed, the Dire Wolf, you can read about it here.

As promised in the earlier article, the observations and documentation from the recent visit to the Heuraka science museum will be explained in this piece and will be accompanied by images taken from the exhibition center.

On Easter Monday, April 21, I was at the Heuraka museum located in Vantaa, while at the event center, I saw some of the most impeccable innovations such as the model concept of electricity, the planetarium (also, fabricated firmaments), and the makeshift zoo for several extinct animals such as the woolly mammoth, Hippidion, Sabre-tooth cat and other mysterious animals that we only know via Marvel movies or from horror books.

Interestingly, an instructor or facilitator at the museum mentioned that scientists are looking to de-extinct the aforementioned animals.

According to Time Magazine (as documented in the previous article on the Dire Wolf), the dire wolf isn’t the only animal that Colossal, which was founded in 2021 and currently employs 130 scientists, wants to bring back. Also on their de-extinction wish list are the woolly mammoth, the dodo, and the thylacine, or Tasmanian tiger. Already, in March, the company surprised the science community with the news that it had copied mammoth DNA to create a woolly mammoth, a chimeric critter with the long, golden coat and the accelerated fat metabolism of the mammoth.

The recent visit helped me to understand the concept of biotechnology, science, and other interesting inventions. Also, several of the experiments and revelations made me question what the future of the human race hold as science continues to extend what the average mind can comprehend.

Besides the science and technological innovation that was displayed at the musuem, it is only ideal to acknowledge the impressive game development that was inspired by the stratosphere and planet in itself.

In the next article, we would be discussing more about the 'Revealing Shadows' as a new form of art.

In the end, the Heureka museum is a good place to be, i recommend it.
