Never Apologize For Being Talented

 I am composing this article after reading John C. Maxwell’s bestselling book, ‘Talent Is Never Enough’. In this article, I simply want to remind the reader that talent is the most quintessential tool for garnering attention and becoming a prominent person in this current generation.

Talent differs from person to person, but talent is the natural ability to do something creative with ease. A talented person sheds light when he enters a room, like a rain, drenching everyone in the scene with his aura and personality; he embodies a skillset and vision that cannot be seen by many.

Every human on earth is talented, however, not everyone recognizes the skillset and natural ability that has been bestowed upon them by God. People lose their abilities for various reasons, while some people never get to live up to their full potential, some others struggle to even give their essence and talent a proper expression, simply because they have been ridiculed for being ‘different’.

Never apologize for being talented; the little things you do are what set you apart from your contemporaries. As a Nigerian, you would probably be mocked for being artistic, creative, and a dreamer, a visioner who sees beyond the common perception of the regular human. Your talent is instilled into you by God, your creator, so that you can gift the world and be a blessing upon humanity.

People would want to make you apologize for being talented; they would try to offend you and shut you up, however, you must remember that you are designed to do great and mighty things.

Never hide your talent or skillset; instead, hone your skills and approach life as a person with a mission.

Understanding The Purpose Of Talent

Your talent is what makes you unique in this world, should you fail to shed your light, the world would be a boring and banal place. It would be an insult to your self-esteem and individuality not to approach life with the spirit of excellence.

The world is yours; you ought to conquer it and do something worthwhile with the talent and skillset that you have.

A bird would sing, a dog would bark, a lion would roar, hence, a human being must be expressive and determined to show the world he/she is made of. The world is yours, therefore, take the bull by its horns.

Remember to continually work on your talent, develop and hone your skills. Your gift is what makes the world a beautiful place to reside- without leadership qualities, the world wouldn’t experience ideal direction. artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh made some of the most beautiful artworks, etc. The list goes on, you deserve to be on the list too. in this festive season, do well to create something memorable in this world of ours.
